Dietary requirements
What we can do, and what we will not claim
What we can do
Every dish on the menu lists what it is made of, so you can see what is in it before you order rather than asking and hoping. Dishes are also labelled Vegan, Vegetarian, or as dishes that can be made without gluten-containing ingredients. The kitchen confirms those labels.
If you would like something left out — an onion, a garnish, the chilli — tell your server, or put it in the notes box when you book. You do not need to give us notice.
Why that third label is worded like that
Because it is the honest version. We can tell you what we put in a dish. We cannot tell you what comes out of a shared kitchen, and ours is one room.
What we do not do
We do not publish allergen information. It is not a legal requirement here, and we have decided against it deliberately: an allergen list is only as current as the last delivery, and someone making a serious decision about their own safety deserves better than a page that might be out of date.
So you will not find us telling you on a website that a dish is free of anything.
What to do instead
Tell us. Put it in the notes when you book, or call us on (905)-894-0972. We will go through the ingredients with you before your visit and be straight about what the kitchen can and cannot manage that evening — including saying no, if the honest answer is no. Forty-eight hours’ notice gives us the most room.
A note on our kitchen
It is one room. We handle nuts, gluten, dairy and shellfish every day, and we cannot promise you a surface that has never met them.
